Home south of Kurten believed to be hit by tornado

Earlier, Burleson Emergency Management confirmed a tornado touched down near Bryan around 9 p.m.

KURTEN, Texas — KAGS has confirmed that a home just south of Kurten was damaged by strong winds Monday night.

The damaging winds were part of what was forecasted during the day's severe storms passing through much of Texas.

Earlier, Burleson Emergency Management confirmed a tornado touched down near Bryan around 9 p.m. However, officials did not confirm if the Kurten-area home was damaged by a tornado.

Any other damages or injuries in the area are not known at this time.

Closer to Austin, officials confirmed a tornado swept through in Round Rock and that damaging winds brought down power lines, fences, trees and some building structures in Jarrell, Texas.
