Huntsville Police: Two arrested in Saturday shooting that killed one

Chakera McNichol and Supreia Harrell have been charged with Murder and Tampering with Evidence respectively, police say.

HUNTSVILLE, Texas — On Saturday, Feb. 3, Huntsville Police investigated a reported shooting in the 1200 block of Avenue E. When they arrived at the scene, they found at 35-year-old victim with gunshot wounds.

Walker County EMS took the woman to the hospital, but she later died from her injuries. The day after the reported shooting, Huntsville PD identified the victim as Kirsten Samuel. They also announced that two individuals had been arrested and charged in connection to the shooting.

The two that were arrested and charged were:

  • Chakera McNichol, charged with Murder
  • Supreia Harrell, charged with Tampering with Evidence

Authorities say an investigation into the shooting is ongoing and those with information are encouraged to call Sgt. John Thompson at 936-291-2427.
