COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- College Station I.S.D Education Foundation is honoring one of their own – by working to keep her legacy alive.

Christi Cheshire passed away earlier this summer, now the Education Foundation is working to create a scholarship in her memory.

Right now the foundation has raised over 11 thousand dollars, but in order to be endowed they need to hit that 25 thousand dollar mark.

Those who worked with Christi said she had a large and loving heart and they want to do anything they can to honor her.

Christi started out teaching math at A&M Consolidated, after that she worked as as a testing coordinator, and most recently she was the Dean of Students at A&M Consolidated.

Now, the Education Foundation hopes to honor her spirit by setting up a memorial scholarship --- in order to help financially assist students with college.
