Houston men arrested after police shut down large pool party at The Cottages in College Station

Police say that after officers initially arrived at the loud party, the partygoers didn't comply due to them outnumbering the officers at the time.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Two Houston men were arrested after College Station Police shut down a large pool party at The Cottages Saturday afternoon.

According to CSPD, after a few officers arrived where the party was reported at and attempted to get non-residents to leave and address other "illegal activity" the crowd realized that they did not have to comply due to them outnumbering the few officers that had showed up.

The officers called in more help, and even had the Tourism & Entertainment Policing Unit assist with breaking up the function. Emergency response units were also called due to some in attendance choosing to fight the officers.

Once enough officers were present to control the situation, the party was declared an unlawful assembly and people were officially ordered to leave.

In the end, Jasachin Dewayne Harris, 21, and Eyoel Mesfin Abrha, 20, both of Houston, were arrested by CSPD for Criminal Trespass.
