COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Editor's Note: The attached video aired in June 2023.

A popular nightlife destination in the Bryan-College Station area will have a new look soon.

Hurricane Harry's, a popular dance hall and concert venue in College Station that has been open since 1992, announced on Wednesday that the property where they are located will be redeveloped in early 2025. Prior to that redevelopment, the business announced that they would be continuing business as well as plans for "the biggest going away party this town has ever seen!"

Rumors that the area near Hurricane Harry's are not new, and can be traced back as far as 2012. However, Culpepper Realty Company and the Culpepper Family have had plans to redevelop the area since 2019 to add more restaurants where The Stack Fields are currently located to bridge the gap between the Northgate entertainment district and Century Square.

"We would like to thank the Culpepper family, all of our loyal customers, and all of the former and current employees for their many years of support," said the business' staff in a post on social media. "We would also like to thank all of the artist and bands that have passed through our doors throughout the past 32 years and contributed to the many memories made in this building."

An exact date of when the redevelopment or going away party will take place was not revealed.

Hurricane Harry's is located at 313 College Avenue in College Station.
