COLLEGE STATION, Texas — In a collaboration with Texas A&M University organizations, SARC, the sexual assault resource center, is hosting their annual Take Back the Night event to raise awareness to a reality many students face and make connections within the community.

The relationship between SARC and Texas A&M University has strengthened the level of advocacy and confidence within students who are looking for a safe space to speak about their experiences.

“We also go out and speak to classes and departments we talk a lot about what are healthy and unhealthy relationships a lot of professors ask us to come in to talk about our services what survivors can expect from us if they have a friend that needs our services one way or another, so we come in at every angle,” said SARC's bilingual outreach coordinator, Elizabeth Landin.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. at Aggie Park on Texas A&M's campus, and have a number of speakers, resources, and an awareness walk. Click here to view the event page and see the event schedule.
