BRYAN, Texas — The weekend continues a nice warming trend. Temperatures will climb into the upper-60s on Saturday while Sunday tops out in the 70s.
Saturday will feature mostly sunny skies but an active weather develops from Sunday through most of next week as a rather complex weather pattern sets up. A potent upper-level low will dig south across the West and park itself over the Southwest next week. This upper-level low will tap into Pacific moisture, funneling it into the Brazos Valley. Periodic pieces of upper-level pieces will be steered into the area by this upper-level low to the west. The moisture, as well as the upper-level disturbances, will create periodic precipitation chances next week. A cold front late-Sunday/Monday as well as another one late-Wednesday/Thursday will also act to enhance shower & thunderstorm activity across the area.
It's too early to pinpoint specifics on rainfall amounts but a few inches of rain looks likely from Sunday night through Thursday morning.
