ERCOT issues Weather Watch for Wednesday | What that means

The Weather Watch was issued due to rising temperatures and expected maintenance outages. At this point, no action is needed of customers.
With more and more people moving to Texas, that means more eyes will be on the state's power grid.

AUSTIN, Texas — With temperatures on the rise, ERCOT has issued a Weather Watch for Wednesday.

ERCOT sent a notice out Tuesday, saying the combination of the higher temps, expected maintenance outages and the potential for lower reserves has led them to issue the watch.

At this point, ERCOT says no action is needed from energy consumers and they don’t anticipate any issues with the grid, but they said they are keeping an eye on it.
