College Station man arrested, charged following early morning stabbing

While police were unable to find Joel Antonio Fuentes-Maldonado after responding to the initial 911 call around 1:39 a.m., he was found about four hours later.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — A College Station man was arrested for a stabbing that took place early Sunday morning, according to College Station Police.

Around 1:30 a.m., first responders were notified that a man had been stabbed in the 700 block of Dominik Drive, according to an arrest report. The victim, who had been stabbed multiple times in different areas on his body, told CSPD that Joel Antonio Fuentes-Maldonado, 31, had stabbed him multiple times with a pocket knife after a dispute. 

The victim was taken to a local hospital afterward and received treatment for his injuries. Police were unable to find Fuentes-Maldonado in the vicinity of the crime scene, but found him multiple hours later at his home, bringing him into custody around 5:30 a.m.

Fuentes-Maldonado is being held on a $30,000 bond for an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon charge and a U.S. Immigration Hold, according to Brazos County Jail Records.
