MADISON COUNTY, Texas — Two men were sentenced to prison on separate drug arrests from 2022, according to the Madison County District Attorney's Office.

Jace Rigby was arrested on March 18, 2022 when he was found by an officer sleeping in his truck on Pee Dee Lane in Madisonville. When he was asked to step out of the truck, a bag containing methamphetamine fell out, which later resulted in his arrest. Rigby pled guilty to drug charges in court and was sentenced to 15 years in prison by Madison County Judge Hal Ridley on Nov. 13, 2023.

On June 21, 2022, a joint drug bust operation was carried out by the Madison County Sheriff's Office and Walker County Narcotics Officers, where they agreed to meet up with a dealer at a gas station in Madisonville. Officers later captured and arrested Brandon Stubblefield, the man that was selling the methamphetamine to the individual officials were using to catch drug dealers. Stubblefield pled guilty to his drug charges in court on Jan. 8, 2024 and was sentenced by Judge Hal Ridley to 12 years in prison.

"Prosecuting drug dealers and drug users will continue to be a priority for my office this year. As fellow citizens, we are all tired of dealing with the effects of illegal drugs on our community," said District Attorney Courtney Cain in a press release. "My office will continue to fight to remove drug dealers from our streets."
