COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Texas A&M basketball player Tyrece "Boots" Radford was booked into the Brazos County Jail on Friday for an alleged Dec. 3, 2023 incident in the Northgate district in College Station.

According to a report from College Station Police, shortly before 3 a.m. that day, two officers on bicycles saw a dark green Dodge Durango drive recklessly and fail to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Louise Avenue and First Street.

The officers put on the lights on their bicycles, but the car drove away, leaving behind a smell of marijuana. The car nearly crashed after going down Louise Avenue and turning onto Boyett Street as well.

About half an hour later, the car was stopped by Texas A&M Police, and both TAMU PD and CSPD officers questioned Radford, the driver, about what he had been doing earlier. He denied that he had been on the road earlier, and was let go.

Afterwards, police used social media and security camera footage to determine that Radford was the one driving the car, and a warrant for his arrest was issued on Wednesday. Radford was booked into the Brazos County Jail on Friday for evading in a motor vehicle, and has since been released on $8,000 bond.
