BRYAN, Texas — A man has been arrested for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old and biting her eye, according to a report from the Bryan Police Department.
The incident took place shortly before 4 a.m. that day on Leon Street in Bryan, when an officer went to the area to investigate a call regarding a sexual assault. When the officer arrived, they found Victor Ponce-Hernandez, 20, near a screaming juvenile girl on the ground.
An officer later put him in handcuffs, and Ponce-Hernandez confessed to authorities that he had sexually assaulted the victim and bit her in the eye. He was charged with Sexual Assault of a child under the age of 17 and Assault Causes Bodily Injury.
According to Brazos County Jail Records, Ponce-Hernandez's bonds total $104,000. He is also being held on an immigration hold by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
