MADISONVILLE, Texas—Our KAGS Pet of the week is a dog who’s gotten a second chance at life.
Chief was abandoned on the side of the freeway near Madisonville.
He was emaciated when some good Samaritans rescued him. He jumped right in the car, and thought he was going home—but he’s still waiting for a place to call home.
A veterinarian later determined that Chief had somehow lost his hearing, but not his spirit.
Chief has a great personality, and just wants the attention he deserves.
He’s two-years-old, loves to play, and give hugs. Although, he can’t hear, he’s been trained on a leash and loves to go on walks.
