United Way celebrates National 2-1-1 Day on Monday, February 11.
2-1-1, United Way’s free and confidential social service hotline, connects callers with resources in their communities. The call line connects Texans to information and community services such as food and shelter, job training, veteran services, childcare, transportation, rent and mortgage assistance, healthcare and more.
In 2018, United Way of the Brazos Valley took over 22,000 calls 2-1-1 calls.
“Don’t be ashamed to call,” said 2-1-1 program manager Hilda Salazar. “We all need help. It’s best to get help now than later when it’s too late.”
