Paving operations, new traffic patterns to cause detours and delays on William J. Bryan Parkway on Monday

The temporary closures are to allow for updated traffic patterns and paving operations to be done.

BRYAN, Brazos County — Starting on Monday, driver navigating parts of William J. Bryan Parkway (FM 158) will experience delays and detours, according to a news release from TxDOT.

From 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the eastbound lanes will be closed on the south side of Sue Haswell Park from North Haswell Drive to June Street. There will also be work started on the west roundabout at FM 158 and 24th Street and at the residential area between Freeman Avenue and East Villa Maria Road.

Drivers are advised to plan for a longer commute to get to their destination while the work is going on.

The full project along FM 158 from Texas Avenue to State Highway 6 is expected to be finished in late 2024 or early 2025.
