BRYAN, Texas — TODAY/TONIGHT: I'm starting to run out of ways to say temperatures jumped back into the 90's today. At least humidity was confined mostly to the southeast, meaning it was a "comfortable" 93° across the area. Tonight, look for temperatures to fall all the way back down to around 70° by the time you wake up tomorrow. Winds will stay light and breezy out of the southeast under mostly clear skies.
LOW: 74°
WIND: SE 5-10 mph.

TOMORROW: Second (or fourth) verse; same as the first. Temperatures climb back into the lower 90's under mostly sunny skies. Expect humidity to be up just a touch, so heat index values may be a degree or two higher than that. Winds stay light and breezy out of the southeast.
HIGH: 96°
WIND: SE 5-10 mph.

EXTENDED: The heat will linger through the weekend with the eastern half of the state remaining in the grips of the upper-level high pressure. Highs both Saturday and Sunday will be in the lower to mid 90s. Starting next week, we turn our attention to the upper level trough making it's way across the western US. As it approaches by midweek, rain chances start increasing and the associated cold front should sweep through by Thursday. Overall rain chances look best Wednesday evening into Thursday morning and highs on Thursday will be back into the 80's. Not to get ahead of ourselves, but high temperatures could be back into the 70's by next weekend.

Sunday: Sunny with highs near 95°. Winds E at 5-10 mph.
Monday: Mostly sunny with highs near 94°. Winds E at 5-10 mph.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy with highs near 93°. Winds SE at 5-10 mph.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy with highs near 93°. Winds SE at 5-10 mph. Chance of rain: 40%
Thursday: Partly cloudy with highs near 84°. Winds NE at 5-10 mph. Chance of rain: 60%
Friday: Mostly cloudy with highs near 84°. Winds NE at 5-10 mph.
