COLLEGE STATION, Texas — If there is anything this pandemic has taught, it is how valuable our frontline workers are. It is a lesson that children at Prodigy Learning Center in College Station took to the streets Friday.
"It's really about the police officer, the firefighters out there in the community and in contact with the virus," said Andie Tinney, the director of the preschool.
Children and teachers at the childcare center are giving big thanks to our every day superheroes during the outbreak.
"They do stuff for us and its important to say 'Thank you,'" said five-year-old, Katie Morgan.
The childcare center put on their capes and tights and greet those police officers, sheriff's troopers, firefighters, BTU workers and more. The kids had 'Thank you' signs, big smiles and waves for the frontline workers as they drove by.
The teachers at Prodigy Learning Center remind the kids that it is not only important to say thank you to our frontline workers during the pandemic, but every day.
