NAVASOTA, Texas — On Thursday, Navasota ISD announced that they would be recommending Trey Allen, the current head football coach and athletic director of Kirbyville High School, as the district and high school's new athletic director and head football coach.
In 2023, Allen was named the District 10-3A Division 1 Coach of the Year after leading Kirbyville to a Co-District Championship and 8-3 record. During his three-year tenure at the school, Allen went 15-15.
Allen will succeed Casey Dacus, who resigned in early December after a six-year tenure with the Rattlers.
Navasota ISD will hold a special board meeting on Monday night to confirm Superintendent Dr. Stu Musick's recommendation of Allen as the district's new athletic director and head football coach.
